The jadeite of translucent intense apple green colour, suffused with emerald green patches, carved with an ox shouldering money coins, money bag, bats and ruyi, symbolising success and fortune, signed.
Accompany with a wooden stand.

Seal measuring approximately 67.61 x 45.47 x 26.42mm.

Accompanied by Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory report numbered SJ205370, dated 5 October 2021, stating that the jadeite is natural, known in the trade as ‘A Jade’.

LAO JIANG’S JADE CARVING
As a Chinese jade carving master and the apprentice of Chinese art and craft master Zhang Bing-guang, Lao Jiang has spent more than twenty years to integrate his talents and dedication to jade carving, exceling with unrivalled craftsmanship and distinct personal style in his creations. In 2007, Lao Jiang established his own studio, focusing on jade carving and design. His works cover a diversified carving categories and themes. Lao Jiang specialises in techniques ranging from qiaose, eggshell carving and miniature carving, gaining him a number of awards from major art and craft competitions in China. He is also a contributor of Guangdong art and craft magazine. This autumn, Tiancheng International is presenting two exquisite works from Lao Jiang’s studio, the ‘Ox’ pendant and the ‘Prosperity’ seal (Lot 133 and 134). Delicately carved with smooth finishes, these works manifest Lao Jiang’s high level of expertise and ingenuity.
