Tsa vorite Garnet
Tsavorite, a grossularite variety discovered in the 1960s, is today’s most important green garnet. The highest value of tsavorite garnet is of vivid, strongly saturated bluish green to green colour with of medium to medium-dark tone.
Though small-sized tsavorite garnets are frequently used for jewelleries, large sizes are very scarce as their roughs are usually found as irregular nodules. In addition, the roughs are almost always fractured, that’s why small calibrated stones under 1 carat is commonly seen on the market whilst the big-sized one are significantly rare, resulting in a huge value difference.
Unlike many other gemstones, tsavorite garnet is neither burnt nor oiled. This simply piece of pure, unadulterated natural gemstone is not in need of any such treatment.
This 51.73-Carat tsavorite garnet is of vivid green colour and very impressive size. Its intense, brilliant and radiant green makes it an unparalleled sparkle.
