Very Exceptional Jadeite 'Fortune Melon' Pendant

The jadeite of translucent bright emerald green colour carved as a ‘fortune melon', with details of floral, gourd and vine motifs, symbolising longevity and happiness. Jadeite measuring approximately 64.12 x 28.84 x 18.15mm. Mounted in 18 karat white gold.
This lot contains jadeite or rubies originating in Burma (also known as Myanmar) and also articles of jewellery containing such gemstones may not be imported into the U.S. With respect to items containing any other types of gemstones originating in Burma (e.g. sapphires), such items may be imported into the U.S. provided that the gemstones were mounted or incorporated into articles of jewellery outside of Burma as long as the setting is not of a temporary nature. Fashioned as a succulent melon, the splendid carved jadeite radiates a saturated green hue within a sturdy thickness. It remains highly translucent despite the thickness due to its amazing fine texture, making it a rare piece of its kind.
